Active noise cancellation

(ANC)

Active noise cancellation technology helps to reduce the unwanted noise to create more comfortable surroundings. Acoutec active noise cancellation system(ANCS) is capable of cancelling both engine order cancellation (EOC) as well as the more difficult, non-periodic, randomly generated, road noise cancellation (RNC).

Challenges we faced

Three major noise sources:

  • At low speed, engine noise;
  • At medium speed, road noise;
  • At high speed, wind noise.

Electric cars have no engine noise, and the noise of giving way and wind is particularly prominent. The traditional noise reduction means are as follows:

  • The cost is very high;
  • The development cycle is long;
  • It's constrained by other boundary conditions.

Engine Noise
Cancellation (EOC)

Adopting the in-car loudspeaker to actively emit a sound (the sound is opposite to the noise source in equal amplitude), which is superposed with the original noise to achieve the effect of reducing the original noise.

Road Noise Control

The road noise is broadband noise, which is much more difficult than engine order noise control. The RNC technology reduces unwanted road noise transmitted through the structure of the vehicle into the cabin by generating an anti-noise. More comfortable riding experiences for driver and passengers, lighter structural materials and reduced cost for carmakers.

This broadband noise control technology also applicable to other industries that bother from random noise.
